Live daytime racing comes back to Los Alamitos Race Course on September 5 through September 21 with an 11-day Fall meeting that will be highlighted by the Los Alamitos Mile on Saturday, September 6 and a pair of premier juvenile races to be held on September 13-14. The Los Alamitos Mile for 3-year-olds and upward on the dirt, could be used as a steppingstone for the Breeders’ Cup Classic to be held November 1.
Another potential highlight during the opening weekend of the meet will be a public viewing of a workout by the highly popular Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner California Chrome at Los Alamitos. Racing fans will be invited to view California Chrome’s workout on opening weekend, as he continues preparations towards a return to racing in September.
The three-week meeting will feature world class Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing with a 2 p.m. first post time each racing day. The action will typically consist of eight to nine Thoroughbred races to be followed by four to five Quarter Horse races, plus top class Arabian action, carded as one program. The meet’s opening weekend on September 5 through 7 will consist of racing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The other two weeks of the meet will feature racing on a Thursday through Sunday basis. There will be no live racing Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Wednesday, Sept. 17.
The nine-race stakes schedule will feature the 25th running of the $100,000 Barretts Debutante for 2-year-old fillies at 6 ½ furlongs on Saturday, September 13, and the $100,000 Barretts Juvenile for 2-year-old colts and geldings at 6 ½ furlongs on Sunday, September 14.
Other stakes events will include the $75,000 E.B. Johnston Stakes for 3-year-olds at 6 ½ furlongs; the $75,000 Beverly Lewis Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at 6 ½ furlongs; and the $75,000 Orange County Stakes for 3 and up fillies and mares at 6 furlongs.
The E.B. Johnston is named in honor of the late outstanding owner and breeder who operated Old English Rancho, one of California’s Leading Thoroughbred Farms now under the watchful eye of his son, Bud Johnston. Beverly Lewis and her late husband, Bob Lewis, campaigned Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winners Silver Charm and Charismatic, as well as Eclipse Award winners Folklore, Orientate, Serena’s Song, and Timber Country, (owned in partnership with Gainesway and Overbrook Farm).
Closing day, Sunday, September 21, will feature a pair of stakes races – the $75,000 Katella Stakes at 6 furlongs for 3-year-olds and upwards and the $75,000 Las Madrinas Stakes for 3 and up fillies and mares at 1 1/8th of mile.
“We’re very excited for the opportunity,’’ said Brad McKinzie, general manager of the Los Alamitos Thoroughbred Racing Association. “Our goal is to offer quality racing featuring the top horsemen in California, and our exciting stakes schedule promises to showcase many of the outstanding racehorses stabled in Southern California.’’
The Fall meeting is the second of three Thoroughbred meets that Los Alamitos will play host to in 2014. Los Alamitos hosted the Summer Festival from Thursday, July 3 through Sunday, July 13 while the Winter session will be held Thursday, Dec. 4 and conclude on Sunday, Dec. 21. The Summer meet featured the victorious 2014 stakes debut of Eclipse Award winner Shared Belief in the Los Alamitos Derby.
Los Alamitos offers free general parking every day, daily $2 grandstand admission for seniors, and $5 grandstand admission. Every patron with a paid admission will also receive a complimentary voucher good for free admission at the Los Angeles County Fair while supplies last.

Does It Take Luck To Win The Lottery
There is a saying which exactly applies to winning the lottery.
The interesting thing about this phrase is that most rich people believe these words, but most poor people find it too difficult to believe.
Thomas Corley, the author of “Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits Of Wealthy Individuals,” spent five years studying the lives of both rich people (annual income of $US160,000 or more) and poor people (annual income of $US35,000 or less).
In his research, Corley asked both groups whether they believe in fate, another name for luck.
An astounding 90% of poor people beloved that their lives were set up for them, while only 10% of rich people agreed.
The rich people he interviewed believed they caused their own financial status in life.
The poor were likely to believe that wealth was accidental.
And the saying that the rich believe? …
“You make your own luck.”
To an outsider, winning the lottery seems like a lot of luck.
These people talk about the vast odds stacked against them, the lucky flukes that give a few people all the money each week.
In their minds the outcome is already figured out for them, and they have lost.
But it is NOT so.
Just like the millionaires who decide their own fate, the lottery can be won by using only a small 1% or 2% of luck.
The rest is strategy that you will learn about here by reading the articles and use with the Silver Lotto System.

What Successful Lottery Players Do On Sunday
Do you look forward to the coming week? Have you got a job that inspires you, invigorates you and makes you look forward to the future?
You’re unusual. A 2013 poll conducted by Monster.com found that 78% of surveyed adults worldwide experience the ‘Sunday night blues’ on a regular basis.
Most people dread the week ahead, and that’s why thinking about winning the lottery can be an important task for the weekend. It makes you feel positive about the week and gives you something to look forward to.
Here’s some more ideas you can do to make a difference to your week.
1. Do the week’s tasks ahead of time if you can. For example, early on Mondays I have to transfer some money from one bank account to another in order to pay an automatic bill. So I do it on Sunday night instead. This helps me sleep better knowing that there is one less task to do for the new week.
2. Spend time with family and friends. It’s the perfect way to forget about the worries of the week ahead, and to round off the weekend. Caitlin Andrews, a librarian featured in the book ‘What The Most Successful People Do On The Weekend’ by Laura Vanderkam, says her extended family gets together for dinner almost every Sunday, alternating houses. “It takes my mind off any Sunday night blues that might be coming on,” she said. You might also make Sunday a movie or spa night, or you could join a Sunday night bowling league.
3. Make sure your tickets are in a safe place. There are numerous stories of players who forget where they left their winning tickets, and this can be a recipe for disaster. Make sure you have a set place for your tickets, and put your coupons back in the same spot also should you buy your lotto tickets at a store visit.
4. Sunday night is the time to think about your wish list. Maybe you have some new items you want to add to it… now’s the time. Sundays should be a day of anticipation, and reviewing your wish list makes the week flash by.
5. Successful people like to look at their calendars on Sunday night and set work goals and deadlines for the upcoming week. Lottery players check the day of the week that they will be playing and have their tickets ready to go.
Get your week off to a great start with these ideas, and you will notice a difference in the way you look at the time ahead.

Lottery Checklist
I'm a big fan of a checklist. Pilots love them too, along with surgeons, car manufacturers and software engineers.
Because if you win one week, there's no need to make adjustments to your play or the number of tickets you need.
Next week does NOT depend on how well you did this week.
Not many players figure this out.
They think that as they 'use up' the numbers each time, they are getting closer to winning big.
That's not the case.
Numbers do NOT have memories, and it's not part of the Silver Lotto System either.
There's no such thing as hot and cold numbers.
Even frequently-won numbers - or 'due' numbers are a fallacy.
How about this: make another type of list and check it off when you win ... a Wish List!
Here's your to-do list for today:
A checklist is great for a long list of things you have to do... and they are an ironclad substitute for a failing memory.
My memory is pretty good however.
But there are times during the day when I stop for a break and when I return I'm not sure whether I completed what I was doing.
So I run my daily life with a to-do list.
I use Evernote, and on a single page I have a list of around 30 daily To-Do's with a checkbox opposite each one.
Each item I complete, I tick the box as completed. When the next day comes round, the first thing I do is uncheck them all manually and see what I did NOT finish.
Then I make sure that gets done before anything else.
So what's this got to do with playing the lottery?
It is simply this:
You do NOT need any fussy checklist with the Silver Lotto System.
There's no possible advantage in you having a to-do list for the lottery, because this is what it will look like each week:
1. Grab tickets
2. Drive down to lotto store
2. Drive down to lotto store
Seriously, that's all.
There's no ongoing calculations, fussing about with numbers and filling out forms or tickets ever again.
And here's something few people know...
... you do NOT even have to make a spreadsheet with your wins on.
Once you know this, then the best way to play with the Silver Lotto System is to:
- Play frequently. Once a week is good, but if you are on a small budget like $10 a game, wait a month and spend $40. It's the size of your ticket spread that gets the wins.
- Always look at your ticket investment as an entry fee to the game. It is not a profit & loss account where a loss one game should be made up the next. Playing lotto merely means you're in to win, and if the win is not as high as you'd hoped, there's always the next game to look forward to.
- Always stay positive. It helps to know other players in the same game who you can meet up with and talk about your results. You'd be surprised how just listening to other winners can get you enthusiastic again. How about this: make another type of list and check it off when you win ... a Wish List!
Here's your to-do list for today:
1. Buy the Silver Lotto System.
2. Go to the LottoPredict menu in your private access area and sign up for it.
3. Add PRO Custom Profiles to see your winning rate soar.
2. Go to the LottoPredict menu in your private access area and sign up for it.

Sports Betting Handicapping
Jimmy “The Greek” Snyder once made the statement, “The sports book never beat me … it just gave me the opportunity to beat myself.” When it comes to understating betting and learning how to win in the long term, Snyder’s words are some of the most important for you to remember. There are plenty of people out there with both the sports knowledge and inherent skill needed to win money consistently from sports betting. Unfortunately, a lot of them are broke. This is because even the most knowledgeable and savvy sports bettor can fall victim to the pitfalls of poor bankroll management, poor information and irrational decision-making. In fact, the sports books that take your bets are counting on it. Even though they take a 10 percent "vig", or juice on each bet, this alone is not enough for them to make a substantial profit. To beat the -110 juice, you must win 52.5 percent of your bets to break even.
For someone with advanced sports knowledge and a willingness to learn, this percentage is easily attainable. What’s more, 60 percent or better is not out of the question. So how do sports books win if you could conceivably beat them 60 percent of the time or more? It’s because you, the gambler, are prone to self-destruction, and they are not. They are counting on the fact that at some point, you will lose your discipline and give back your winnings and then some. As human beings, we are emotional creatures by nature, and for gamblers the natural emotional reaction is to try and recoup our losses when we have a bad run. That’s why discipline, money management, and last but not least, emotional detachment are the most important qualities you need when it comes to understanding betting.
Let’s take a quick look at how failure to master these three factors could result in a swift and instant reversal of fortune in sports betting. Assume for a moment that you are betting $50 per game and you managed to work up a profit of $1,000, or, in other words, you are up 20 units. But suddenly you have a bad run – and this will happen – in which you lose 10 of your next 12 bets. Now, your profit has dwindled to $500. But instead of slowly building up your bankroll as you did previously, the bad beats and bad luck in your recent run have caught up with you. You’re frustrated and upset, and you convince yourself that the sports book now has $500 of what is rightfully your money. Instead of taking a step back and perhaps taking a break of betting or re-evaluating your approach, which might be the prudent thing to do here, you instead decide you are going to get it all back in one fell swoop. You bet the remaining $500 on the Monday Night Football game and lose. Now you’re down to zero profit and feel like the sports book has no right taking your hard-earned money. You take out another $500 from your bankroll and bet it on an NBA pick the next night.
Look how quickly your fortunes changed. Just a few days ago, you were up $1,000 and deservedly proud of your hard work and discipline. You suffered through a bad weekend, and then you let your emotions get the best of you. In no time at all you went from being up $1,000 to down $500 (a $1,500 swing!), and the only way to get back on the right track is start over again with a renewed commitment to discipline. To be good at gambling, no matter your game of choice, the actual value of the money involved has to become a non-factor for you. The minute you consider what you could have bought or what bills you could have paid with money you are gambling, you are in trouble.
Long-term sports betting for profit is a business and should be treated as such. You need to be able to handle five consecutive losses and five straight wins with the same reaction; that is, basically none at all.
Of course, we are not robots so this is not entirely possible. It’s only human to feel high after a winning streak or down after a losing streak, but in order to succeed, you must minimize your emotional investment in short-term results and realize that it’s your consistency over the long haul that will bring you the utmost success.
Learn to treat betting slips as if they were made with play money and as if the ticket is a receipt on a short-term stock. Your stock is in trade while the game is taking place, and you will either double your investment or lose all of it. Now, if you notice that you are having more losing days than winning ones, it might be time to reconsider whether your handicapping and other strategies are up to par. But once you have confidence in your abilities and show a winning record, the next step to winning for the long term is learning how detach emotions from your bets.
Don't continue trying to beat the sportsbooks on your own! Let me, Richard Bleuze of http://www.24-7wagering.com, handle all of your sports betting and sports information needs. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions (contact info along with email on top of page)

Betting On The NFL Preseason
Betting on the NFL in August is a completely different exercise than betting on the same sport a month later. I personally recommend that you do not bet on the NFL preseason games. Below are many of the differences, and some ways the bettor can take advantage of them.
1. Know your coaches. Some coaches care about winning NFL preseason games, while others do not. Thus, betting on coaches with great preseason records is an easy way to make money. Many coaches are simply trying to evaluate personnel — finding the right bodies for the last few spots on the roster — as well as making sure that all the key elements of the offensive and defensive schemes are in place. Other coaches, on the other hand, want to instill a winning attitude for their team right from the start of training camp. Thus, try to back head coaches who care about the outcome of the game, and try to bet against those that do not. In addition, most coaches often increase the length of time that their starters play each week. Short passing plays and fundamentals are the standard fare in week 1 for most coaches and that is why you see dramatically smaller totals in Week 1 around 33-37 point mark for most match ups. Generally, most teams will stick with basic plays and short passes for Week 1 and 2.
2. Consider home field. Home field is a big factor in the NFL regular season and playoffs and usually counts about 3 points depending on where they are playing. However, during NFL preseason, home field is not as important. Especially in week 4 for many teams that have set their depth charts.
3. Local Newspapers and Internet Research. Local sports writers are the best source for your local team as they have direct access to the coaches regularly and need to provide content on a regular deadline. Coaches will often provide a general direction of the game plan for the upcoming week. However, the internet has now taken over getting information on a certain team or coach. Yahoo Sports is a nice NFL sports new aggregator that compile local links. Finding reliable websites in the preseason and bookmarking them will help you set up for the 17 week NFL regular season.
4. Quarterback (QB) Play. In the NFL, the QB is the most important position. That is why the top QBs are getting those big salaries. However, evaluating the quality of the 2nd and 3rd string QBs is critical to handicapping NFL preseason. I suggest that you never buy the hype of NFL rookie QBs in the preseason. Those rookie QBs still need to adjust to the faster speed and larger size of NFL players at every position.
5. Do not forget the totals! Using the quarterback rotations and the coaches philosophy as a guide, predicting totals can be very profitable during the NFL preseason. A pair of coaches looking to develop the running game and/or test inexperienced QB’s often provide solid under bets. On the other hand, when you find two coaches who are looking to test the passing game and have experience at the backup QB position, the over is certainly the way to look.
6. Ignore the starters! In most NFL preseason games, they will generally get the bulk of the media attention, however, they are on the bench by the 2nd quarter. Injury reports are something of a non-factor during the NFL preseason , since it is not the so called “name” players who will be determining the outcome of the game. NFL preseason games, like those in the regular season, are usually won or lost in the 2nd half.
7. Find out what you can about the 3rd and 4th stringers. Usually these are the players who will be on the field in the 2nd half, when the point spread winners and losers will usually be determined. As a general rule of thumb, many of these players are “undrafted rookie free agents”. Teams with more roster spots open will tend to get the better backups during camp. Usually the teams with more roster spots open are usually teams that had poor records the year before, and often preseason underdogs. Try to avoid laying points with playoff bound teams from the previous season with most of their roster spots already filled, since you will find that the quality of their free agent rookies is often quite low. There simply are not a lot of positions open on those type of teams, making them unattractive to the better free agents – the ones with options to go to more than one training camp.
If you follow these simple guidelines, the NFL preseason can be a very profitable for NFL bettors!

My 7 Top Tips For Staying Positive And Improving Your Lottery Winnings
My 7 Top Tips For Staying Positive And Improving Your Lottery Winnings
There is a good reason to stay positive when you play lotto, and it is not just the expectation of a winning streak about to happen.
Because positivity keeps you in play… in the game.
If you can’t be bothered playing this weekend because you feel depressed about the economy, the war, the bills… you might miss the greatest windfall in front of you.
The beauty of the lottery game is the enormous potential of winning to change your life forever.
But only if you play, and keep playing.
You need to stay positive when the wins are small or infrequent so you can play again with enthusiasm. Because the next game you miss might be the big one with your name on.
So here are my top tips for staying positive - and yes, I follow them all:
TIP #1) Plant positive reminders around you. Use pictures, signs and notes on your fridge door, computer screen and in your wallet so you see them every day. Print out a photo of some big-time lottery winners and enjoy their happiness. It’s contagious!
TIP #2) Read motivational books and stories. You will get inspired with even a simple paragraph showing how someone beat the odds.
TIP #3) Eat well by reducing junk food (you know what that is without me telling you). Cut out sugars. It will improve your thinking. Studies have shown that students who were given healthy diets actually learned more and were happier. Food will change your mood. For more information, visit http://www.hflopportunity.com/107-1-3-4.html
TIP #4) Write an appreciation diary. Each night before you retire, write down the 3 most positive events of the day you experienced. Everyone can find three things… even a smile from a friend counts. The warm feeling from your notes will inspire you to stay positive.
TIP #5) Stay active. That means as well as taking a 30 minute walk each day – or its equivalent, like washing the car or vacuuming the house. Make sure your calendar is full with no white space. Spare time leads to boredom, which leads to uncertainty. Too much introspection will make you worry. Fill your days with productive work and energetic play.
TIP #6) Write down your goals and dreams. Do it in the present tense, as if the goal has been reached: “I am giving away $5,000 to my church this morning, and it feels great!” Or “The harbor view from my bedroom window is amazing – I can see our yacht from here!”
TIP #7) DO IT NOW. These 3 words will give your life a big positive shove. Procrastination is a killer of enthusiasm. Whatever needs doing, Do It Now and watch as your negativity disappears. It could be as simple as clearing the clutter from your office or fixing the broken door handle that’s been bugging you for months. When you see something that needs doing, don’t put it on a list – do it right away.
When you are positive
your life changes for the better, and this attitude helps keeps you playing with the expectation of a big win.

Lotto Mistakes Made
Every day I see lotto players making mistake after mistake, and wondering why they are not getting more wins.
So here are the things you MUST avoid doing right now. It will make you a better player and help you win faster and more often:
1. Do NOT play when you feel like it. Have a timetable and stick to it. Once a week, twice a month… whatever it is, set your play times in concrete and don’t miss your deadline.
2. Do NOT believe the homegrown ‘experts’ when you are looking to buy a lottery system. Believe innovators who can prove their system works and have many winner testimonies to back it up.
3. Do NOT play on popular days. Many players lock themselves into a Saturday game and have to share their jackpot with dozens of others. Ask your local lotto shop which day is least popular and play on that one.
4. Do NOT mess with a system that works. Some Silver Lotto System players put their own numbers in ‘for good luck.’ This will give them worse results. You cannot beat a good system.
5. Do NOT change your numbers. If you have the budget to play 20 lines from the Silver Lotto System, then stick to those numbers each game. Don’t think another different 20 lines for every game will be better – it won’t!
6. Do NOT miss games. The major winners in any lotto game play EVERY time until their win comes up.
7. Do NOT give up too soon. Every breakthrough in life – and lotto – has come just when things seem to be at their bleakest.
8. Do NOT think you know it all. Reading each article on this Lottery blog will give you little-known information that could change your winning streak.
9. Do NOT think you are losing your entry fee (buying tickets) when you don’t get a win. Paying for your tickets is a necessary requirement, and you need to be in to win.
10. Do NOT play games with extra balls – sometimes known as bonus balls – if you can help it. If you have a choice, stick with low ball games. Play 5 ball games, then 6-ball and higher games only if you have no other choice. The odds improve with the lower ball games.
11. Do NOT play games with high numbers. Instead, play the game with the lowest numbers. The lower the number of numbers in your game, the better your odds. If you have a choice of playing two games containing, say… 45 numbers or 60… go for the low 45 game!
